To celebrate the LNY Year of the Dog, The Star activated our Good Fortune Ribbon platform across several sites with the Mahjong Gardens, Chinese Festival of Racing and on site within The Star Sydney and The Star Gold Coast.
Mahjong Gardens returned to celebrate Chinese New Year as part of the City of Sydney’s celebrations. The new location at Circular Quay provided guests with a stunning view of the Harbour while they learnt the traditional game of Mahjong. Over the 10 days of being live, over 12,800 guests received a gift in the form of a lucky red envelope containing a chocolate coin, a voucher to be redeemed at The Star and an instructional card showing how to make a wish at Harbourside.
At the Chinese Festival of Racing, racegoers were welcomed through the Tunnel of Good Fortune for a prosperous race day and over 2,000 guests also received lucky red envelopes.
The Tunnel of Good Fortune also featured for over 32 days at The Star Sydney welcoming guests
and leading them to the wishing stations & trees. The interactive wishing stations enabled guests to write their wish for a prosperous year before hanging them on the wishing trees. Additional wishing trees and stations were activated in the private gaming rooms and at The Star Gold Coast with over 32,000 wishing cards being placed on the trees.
